Buy Wholesale
The upside on this method is that you can set your own pricing for the products. You can either undercut the competition to get the initial sales, or charge a premium for the convenience of immediate or catered sales.
- You can take orders from clients that you know or visit in person, collect the money up front, then purchase directly from the manufacturer at Wholesale prices. You turn a nice profit for yourself and your customers benefit from lower costs. Best of all, this is a repeat business with sustainable income. There are absolutely ZERO start up costs involved!
- Alternatively, you can order product up front and keep an small inventory on hand at your business or residence. This is perfect for those that own or work in an environment where smoking is no longer allowed. Several local distributors can literally not keep enough stock in their cars when they’re working or visiting a local watering hole. The up front cost on this are a little more significant, but has a very high turnover rate.
Right, so this is one of those pyramid scheme things.

As you can see from the descriptions above, only one of the distributor options requires any type of up front costs or inventory purchases on your part.
You are buying and interacting directly with the manufacturer, not me. I do not buy product for you. I do not get between you and the manufacturer unless you request some assistance in dealing with something that’s come up.
What do I get out of it? A small commission from your sales for bringing you into the business. This does not come out of your commission percentage, the manufacturer takes the hit. You and I are making the exact same commissions on our direct sales that we each generate.
How much can I make?
I’ll answer that question with a question. How ambitious are you? The sky is the limit. You can keep it simple and just sell to friends and relatives and generate a couple hundered extra dollars in income a month. or, if you’re like me…you can beat the pavement and try to make this a full time living.
If you’re buying wholesale and re-selling you generally purchase the product for about 50% of retail. Then you set your own price.
Affiliate commission percentages are anywhere from 15% to 40% depending on the manufacturer and your monthly sales volume. With some, the more you sell, the higher your commission percentage.
So, if you take the average selling price of a start-up kit which somewhere around $75 and take 20% you’re profit is $15, then add in accessories, re-fill cartridges, new batteries, etc, etc, etc….and stick with a manufacturer that pays closer to 40%…well…you get the idea.
Best of all, it’s a sustainable income stream because the customer comes back for supplies on a regular basis and you get a percentage of the sales for the life of the customer.
